Before I developed the systems I give you in The Coders Success Kit™ - I was struggling to begin my career as a software developer (“coder”).

I went to University, and struggled for years to try and figure out how to actually be successful as a coder (and thus get paid well).

After University, I tried getting jobs as a software developer, but kept running into many issues and obstacles I didn’t have answers for.

And the worst part is, I had nobody to turn to. Nobody was there to help answer my questions and show me the path to take.

This led me to question whether or not I was actually pursuing the right career path. Maybe the dream of “becoming a highly paid coder” wasn’t the reality I wanted it to be.

It wasn’t until after getting my expensive University degree, still struggling to find a job as a coder, that eventually I found a mentor that not only answered my questions, but showed me the process that I ultimately needed to follow.

Finally, things started to click. It didn’t take me long to completely change my situation, become a well-paid coder, and get the answers and support I needed to move forward.

Fast forward to today, and for the past several years I’ve had the privilege of coaching thousands of hopeful coders.

And, what I realized is that they didn’t just need to learn how to code (though, again that’s obviously important)... but they needed to learn all the other things… things that I was never taught in university… things that they’ll never teach you in free courses online.

You see… generally, there are three main paths people take to pursue a career as a highly-paid coder.

1. University - You can take the path that I took and waste 4+ years of your life learning outdated coding strategies from professors who likely haven’t been an active developer in years.

The worst part is, when you leave, you’re very underwhelmingly prepared for a career as a coder. (ask me how I know!)

2. Free Websites - There is no shortage of free coding websites out there. You could learn all the coding you need to know, as advanced as you want to get, on many free platforms.

The problem with learning from these free websites is you’re completely on your own. There is nobody there to help you, noone to show you the right path to take. And again, you’re still not going to have much support when it comes to actually pursuing a career in coding.

3. Bootcamps - There are some bootcamps (like ours) that attempt to fasttrack your results, teach you how to code, and prepare you for a career as a coder.

The problem with bootcamps can be that many of them are very expensive, and you don’t get an idea of what’s inside without a significant investment upfront. You may come to find out that it’s just not a good fit for you… but you’re stuck without a way out.
